Every story gets a song
9 Jul 2026 Perpetūra
Two things this time, and they arrived together almost by accident.
The first is sound. Every story has had its own instrumental thread since Liuyan's release, but this update gives each of the three finished stories something more: an actual song, sung, with lyrics, written from inside the story itself. Finish Hyunjae and you will hear "A Second Passenger." Finish Reine and it is "Not For Sale." Finish Liuyan and it is "I Called It Dancing." They live in a new Soundtrack tab in the codex, where you can play or pause anything you have unlocked, and once you have heard a story's song, its own menu quietly starts using it instead of the general theme. It felt right to let a finished story sound like itself.
The second is sight. A handful of the moments I cared about most in Hyunjae's, Reine's and Liuyan's stories now carry a small illustration alongside the prose. Not everywhere, and not a full art pass, just the scenes that seemed to want a picture as much as a paragraph. They are easy to miss if you are moving fast, which is more or less the idea: they are there for the readers who linger.
Two more stories are still being written, under the same standard everything else here now holds to.
Thank you for reading, and for sticking with a small game that keeps quietly growing.
