Hyunjae, sentence by sentence

No new story this time. Something quieter, and honestly, harder.

A while back a reader sent in a piece of feedback that stuck with me: the prose in places read young. Short flat sentences, one after another, where the moment deserved more weight. They were right, and the place it showed most was the story everyone reads first. So I went back to Hyunjae's story and reworked it line by line, prologue to every ending, all three paths. Nothing about the story has changed: not the plot, not the choices, not a word of dialogue. What changed is the rhythm. Flat little sentence stacks got fused into longer lines that let a moment breathe, and the short sentences that remain are there because they are doing something on purpose. If you have already read Hyunjae, it is the same story you remember. It just carries itself differently now.

Reine and Liuyan got the same read with a much lighter pen: a few long passages that ran breathless now pause where they should, and one joke in Reine's fourth chapter finally lands the way I always heard it.

The rest is housekeeping, the good kind. Attentive readers on Liuyan's road will find a small new moment early on. A codex entry of hers that could slip past unnoticed now unlocks properly, and if it already slipped past you, it will quietly appear on your shelf. The keepsake card at the end of a story now saves to Photos correctly on iPhone, and the portrait no longer stretches. The story shelf scrolls the way it should now, which mostly means swiping between stories on a phone feels the way swiping should. And a couple of small menu tidy ups: Esc closes Settings, and an empty leftover tab is gone.

Two more stories are still on the way. They are being written under the same standard this pass just set, which feels like the right order of things.

Thank you for reading, and for telling me when something reads wrong. It makes the game better every time.
