I rebuilt the whole thing, twice
2 Aug 2026 Perpetūra
Perpetūra's menus have been rebuilt from scratch, and I should admit up front that this is the second attempt. I built an entirely different version first, finished it properly, looked at it for a day, and threw the whole thing out. What is here now is what came after that.
Everything outside the reading is new: the title screen, the codex, the settings, the about pages. The atlas is the part I am happiest with. It used to be a picture you looked at. Now it is a map you can move around in, panning and zooming and following the lines to see where the stories reach each other.
Throwing out something finished is expensive and I would not recommend doing it casually. But there is a particular feeling you get looking at a thing you built when it is fine, and only fine, and you know you would never have chosen it if you had seen it first. That feeling is worth the week it costs.
