Saying things plainly
11 Jun 2026 Perpetūra
A polish release, mostly, with one small act of honesty attached.
I went back through the middle of Hyunjae's story, the long quiet stretch, and caught a habit I had fallen into: ending too many sentences on the same satisfying click. Done once or twice a chapter it lands. Done constantly it stops landing at all, like a song that is all chorus. So I loosened it. I let some lines be plain, so the ones that are not have something to push against. You probably will not notice the change so much as notice that you have stopped noticing the prose, which is rather the point.
While I was in there, one of the gentler endings had been telling you how she felt instead of letting you watch her feel it. I rebuilt that moment around something she does with her hands. And a choice that was meant to cost her something had quietly been getting waved through for free, so I gave the world back its weight. The softest path should still be a path with a price.
The honest part: there is now a short note on the About screen about what to expect, that this is a grown up romance, with grief in it and intimacy written with restraint, and a plain line about privacy. The game counts a few anonymous things, like which stories people reach. No cookies, nothing personal. I would rather just say so than not.
Nothing for you to do. If Perpetūra lives on your home screen, it will freshen up the next time you open it.
