The codex gets faces

This one is mostly about looking at the game rather than only reading it.
The biggest change is that the cast finally steps into the light. There is a new Characters tab in the Codex now, with portraits of the people you meet, and the story selection screen has been rebuilt around them too. Instead of a row of plain buttons, each story now introduces itself with its cast, so you get a sense of who you are about to spend a few hours with before you ever start.
I also gave every screen its own backdrop. Title, codex, and each of the stories now sit against artwork chosen to match their world and their mood, dark and quiet enough that the words still come first. And because most of you read on a phone, I made separate versions of those backgrounds that are framed properly for a tall screen, so nothing important gets cropped off the sides.
While I was in the About screen I tidied up the notes there. There is a clearer, plainer line about how AI is used in making this, and where it is not. And if you are an artist yourself and the world speaks to you, there is now an open invitation to get in touch about working together. This is a solo project, and it would be lovely to bring the cast to life with real hands one day.
No new chapters this time, but the game should feel a good deal warmer to be inside. Reine and the others are still on their way. Thank you, as always, for being here.
